White-water Rafting

White-water rafting is definitely not a sport for the faint hearted. White water is a term for the swift flowing mountain rivers. The rivers move so swiftly that they form white foam and hence the name white-water. The rafts are made of rubber and are then inflated. White water rafting is a very popular sport in the mountain camps. Before taking on the sport one should be aware of the dangers and should always be wearing proper rafting gear including life jackets and helmets. A raft can accommodate around 4-8 rafters depending on the size of the raft and all the rafters must paddle in synchronization to propel the raft and guide it trough the fast flowing water.
